It is with great sadness that we announce that Robin Wheeler passed away February 20, 2012, after a year-long illness.
Robin's contribution to the sustainable food movement was huge and far reaching and she will be greatly missed by all the folks who crossed her path. Robin always emphasized the importance of taking that first baby step in any aspect of gardening and food production and preserving. "Keep it simple, have fun and don't feel overwhelmed"was her catch phrase. Please take a moment to watch the video 'Meet Robin Wheeler' above. Hopefully you will feel inspired and encouraged to begin or continue your journey to food self sufficiency which was Robin's vision for you and the planet.
Thank you for your interest in Edible Landscapes and the possibilities that implies!

Where would you find your groceries if your supermarket's shelves were suddenly empty? The threat of earthquakes, trucker strikes, power outages or a global market collapse make us vulnerable like never before. With spiralling fuel prices and unstable world economies, individuals and communities are demanding more control over their food supply.
If you’re going to buy for yourself or another gardener one book that’s sure to be read, enjoyed and put to use, check out (Gardening for the Faint of Heart).
I bought this for my husband. He loved it. I read it and enjoyed it as well. It's a great little book to help anyone who is looking to be a little more in control of their food sources. From Amazon Reviews
As a 'newbie' homesteader, Robin's weekend workshops have been invaluable. I've learned so many practical skills - from how to build a fire to how to make biodynamic compost. I can't recommend Robin and her Sustainable Living Arts School enough.
